What makes DAMA different

EFFECTIVE MANAGEMENT

AS a CMO specialized in management of royalties granted by the Spanish Copyright Law for the audiovisual authors, DAMA collects revenues from audiovisual works:

The growth that these sector have experienced in the contemporary society during the last years has made necessary to adequate the collecting systems to the new methods of exploitation for the audiovisual work.

For its members and for the members of foreign sister organizations, DAMA protects copyrights in the visual arts which copyright holders are themselves unable to protect for practical or legal reasons.

DAMA is in constant evolution adapting their rates and agreements to the technologic evolutions that the suppliers of contents made.

TRANSPARENCY AUTHOR's

DAMA administer the author's rights of audiovisual in a free, democratic, autonomous and independent environment.

The autonomy and independence with respect to other collective management societies and other categories of authors leads with transparency author's and effectiveness in the administration of audiovisuals author's rights. The collection, control and distribution of royalties are exclusively designed by and in the interest for audiovisual authors, and the promotional funds that legally and obligatorily must be created will be devoted to the development of educational and social activities, only for audiovisual authors.

In the paying bill given to the members is everything detailed, so the member can know every detail about their payment.

DAMA provides its members with information on why they are being remunerated, from whom, and what use is given to the money that their rights are generating.

EQUAL TREATMENT TO ALL AUTHOR's

We don't make any distinction about the nationality of the authors; all of them are treated as equal, this means that DAMA works for the foreign authors as if they were Spanish.

Without any distinction of nationality or other author's characteristic, the global amount collected by a determinate work is directly assignment to the holder.
