DAMA hopes to achieve reciprocal collaboration outside Spain, via a framework of agreements between other CMOs that manage right holders' royalties both in the film and the television industry.

DAMA is member from CISAC (International Confederation of Societies of Authors and Composers) since 2006; this has been a remarkable advance in DAMA's internationalization.

For a better manage of the repertoire, DAMA works with the IPI system that is managed by the Swiss sister society SUISA, the aim of this system is the world unique identification of a right holders, it contains the right holders data on copyright protected works and public domain works.

Also DAMA works with IDA database which is administered by SACD in Paris, this database records the different version a work can have such as foreign language dubbed version.

DAMA is reaching internationalization goals day by day, our repertoire is represented by sister societies in more than 25 countries and we are in plans of negotiation with many more CMOs around the globe.

In Latin America, the International Department has developed an extensive work of normalization and cooperation with Societies of Audiovisual Authors, being invited to contribute with its experience and knowledge in Copyright in the congresses that the Confederacy of Writers and Directors of Latin-American Audiovisual, FEDALA, organizes yearly.

Besides the contracts of representation that DAMA has signed with several countries for the collection of the royalties of the associates abroad, DAMA represents and negotiates in Spain the royalties of the directors and screenwriters of Australia and New Zealand and of the Brazilian audiovisual authors associates of ABRAMUS.
