International documentation on audiovisual works

DAMA, in order to give our authors a better management of their works became an IDA member.

IDA is the name of an online international database of information on audiovisual works and their right owners.

With this database, we ensure transfer of fair payments to right owners between author societies and speed up transfer royalties.

IDA is a tool to help Author Societies in the exchange of information in the following context:

• Audiovisual works go international
  
  
• There are more and more different types of broadcasting =>increases the number of AV works and right owners to identify
  
  
• Lots of Authors Societies need to exchange information on audiovisual work and their rights frequently
  
  
• The different workflows and exchange formats make the processes long and expensive. The data is often incomplete or missing => sometimes it's impossible to identify AV works from other Authors Societies
  
  
• Authors Societies need to innovate to face the competition: this is a matter of having and handle information on audiovisual works quicker and better than the competitors.
